With his Upgrade series, designer Tomas Kral manages to create beauty from the mundane. Using traditional decorative techniques usually applied to crystal – like cutting, engraving and gilding – to the most ordinary glass packaging, he “upgrades” things like milk bottles or tomato sauce jars, helping us to see their shapes and forms anew.
