There have been hundreds of variations on that simple household item, the chair, and yet there’s always room for another variation. I’m quite besotted with the austerely elegant XXS Chair from L’abbate.
The XXS is designed by Eddy Spadarotto as a homage to the traditional Italian “Chiavarina†chair. Crafted from walnut, the chair is available either upholstered or with a woven rush seat, and is available in a tall or short version.
I don’t know what it is about these chairs, but their austere and elongated lines bring to mind monks and nuns and spartan church interiors. Perhaps it’s just the Easter spirit coming through, and so I’ll take this opportunity to wish all our readers a very happy Easter time. See you again after the long weekend.
