Thigmotropism

So if I were somebody like, for instance, Roald Dahl, and I was writing a story about little girl with a green thumb, I might be tempted to name her something charmingly apt like Flora Grubb. But truth being so much more fabulous than fiction, it turns out there’s a real-life gardener by that name!

Flora Grubb has a garden shop in San Francisco that seems to push the limits of design, styling and gardening in the best possible way. Case in point, her collaboration with Seth Boor and Kevin Smith to install amazing vertical gardens, like the Thigmotrope, installed at the Bardessono Hotel

Here’s another of her vertical gardens, this one at her garden store.
