From the team: bunnies, kettles, chairs… and cousins!

We’re starting a new feature on the blog so we can give our readers a bit of a peek inside what’s going on in the DECO teams’ collective noggins.  Hope you enjoy this, the first From The Team:

Our Junior Designer, Amy Reid, is clearly mad about Design. What other type of person would send through a link to a site that’s just about chairs, chairs and nothing but chairs! So if you’re as nuts about design as Amy is, and enjoy nothing better but to stare at a chair, check out Chair Whore.

Toby Shapshack, editor of Stuff Magazine and frequent contributor to our Tech page, let us know that he thinks the Vera Electric Kettle from Bugatti is simply the most lovely (and most hi-tech) kettle around. You know, he might be right!

Our super-talented art director, Jo Skelton sent through a whole bunch of favourites, including her recent crush on haute bunny extraordinaire, Fifi Lapin. Jo says about Fifi: “Her illustrations are utterly delightful and she transports my imagination the way fashion magazines used to when I was little!”

Then, not averse to a little well-placed nepotism, Jo also let me know about these amazing lights her cousin Penelope Batley showed at 100% Design in London last year. Talent clearly runs in that family’s veins!
