Some websites make me bookmark them straight away, because I’m determined to find the time to give them a proper look, even if it has to be in the wee hours, and Art Wall is definitely one of these.
The Art Wall concept is great. It’s a virtual display space created to exhibit the artwork of independent artists, directing interested buyers directly to each artist’s shop. So, great concept, but it’s the look of the site that makes it really delightful: the artworks, curated by proprieter Katie Stephenson, are showcased on a virtual wall in a series of imaginary rooms, helping the buyer get a sense of how an artwork might work on display in their own home.

Everything on the Art Wall website is either made by hand or is a print of handmade work and is priced between $5 and $500. Art Wall is not a shop, but a curated gallery, so anyone interested in purchasing a piece will click on a selection to view the artist’s page, then click again to be directed to the artist’s own shop.

Some of the work currently on display include these personalised leaf silhouettes by Jenny Lee Fowler, a number of digital prints by Lisa Congdon, and a very limited edition letterpress poster by Hijiri Shepherd.

Keep visiting the online walls, as the site is kept updated with new work all the time.
