Faith47

One of the speakers at this year’s Design Indaba Conference is local street artist, Faith47. I see her work daily as I drive around Cape Town, and it’s the kind of work that makes me pause for thought while driving by.

The sombre tones and social commentary are unusual for work on the sides of buildings and walls, and the beautiful, lyrical lines of her drawings are very much at odds with the largely broken-down neighbourhoods in which her work appears. I’ve no doubt that her talk, alongside the US street art group, the Wooster Collective, will be definitely worth catching.
