The story by Laura Twiggs on pages 86-91 of Issue 72 is about a farm cottage on the property of Constantia’s oldest farmstead. The architect owners – Matthew Beatty and Saskia Vermeiren,of B+V Architects -  have managed to transform these former staff quarters and stables into a modern, eco-friendly home and office space without losing the integrity of the original building, in a seamless marriage of past and present.
