We’ve always had a crush on Frauke Stegmann. We’re obsessed with anything she produces. So imagine our excitement when a bag full of Frauke’s reclaimed golden glass jars (above) arrived at DECO’s office. The gold on the rescued glass jars simulate the gold drip rims of Frauke’s much-loved and trademark porcelain series (below). ’Rejected-Reconsidered is about working with what’s already there, or has already been made, giving it a second life by reconsidering it, and turning it into a desirable object’, says Frauke, jokingly referring to this new addition to her gold series as the “glass cousins”.
