Anyone in the mood for a quick island style getaway? DECO guest blogger, Jaco, just pulled some tantalising shots out of his travel files.
“As the days grow dark and soaked, I long for the tropics. These are a few images I took on a tiny island off Madagascar called Tsarabanjina. It epitomises barefoot luxury. I will always make space for some coral (faux of course) and basket weave in my home for an instant mood lifter.”

“These images have inspired a guest bedroom scheme that I’m doing for a home in Knysna. The fabric for the headboard and comforter is from Hertex, paint from Plascon for the ceiling and a wonderful wall finish from Earthcote called Shalestone.”
“Perpetual summer.”

Loved the photos! Unfortunately I have to wait till January for my visit to the beach
Enjoy your vacation Jaco!
i simply love the idea of creating an ‘island’ style space in your home – that way you can pretend you have summer all year long!
