Paris: the magic of pattern

Patterns of Paris

Architect-designer Renee Rossouw strolled the streets of Paris looking at the vibrancy of pattern that is literally everywhere in the French capital. The detail is remarkable: like the plates on a wall at Shop Merci, the tiger graffiti on Rue de Rossiers, the striking geometry of Palace Royale, and the blue and white mosaic floor in Rue de Rivoli.

We also love the brightly lit paper lanterns and paper tea set in “Shop Petit Pan” – and the kinetic interior by Yaacov Agam at the Pompidou Centre.
