When looking at designer Michael Chandler’s Cape Gables bookends, we couldn’t help noticing just how much Cape Rococo architecture there is all around us in Cape Town. The images below show the beautiful Rococo inspired architectural mouldings and other detail spotted on a quick walking tour just around the corner of the office in Hatfield Street, The Book Lounge on Roeland as well as the Company Gardens looking at the beautiful architecture of the National Gallery.
Have a look at our Q&A with Michael Chandler, posted previously on the Elle Decoration blog – and click through to the website that Michael built for Chandler House.
