How do we know it’s officially summer? Aside from the sun being out, traffic heaping up, cafe’s filling and dinner parties no longer reserved for weekends, it’s Happy Hour! In the spirit of summer, here are 3 cocktails to keep the balmy mood and make you the perfect season entertainer.

Christmas Mimosa

Get those crystal flutes out  for Christmas and treat your guests with a mid day mimosa on Christmas day. Pour equal parts blood orange juice and Champagne into each flute and garnish with a blood orange slice.

Coconut Gin

Let your skin glow while sipping on this cocktail. Coconut water and gin? Sounds guilt free. Add ice to a tumbler glass and add 30ml gin, 30ml tonic and top coconut water. Stir and garnish with fresh mint, thyme or basil

THE GREYHOUND

The Greyhound

A Don Draper favourite, this refreshing Mad Men-era cocktail is made with only vodka and grapefruit juice. Great if your counting calories and very easy to make. Fill a tumbler with ice, 15ml vodka and fill with grapefruit juice just under the rim, stir. Garnish with a rosemary sprig for an herbal touch.
