@home Colab for Summer 2016

We recently joined forces with @home to style and launch their 2016 summer collection, which is all about giving global trends a new look with a touch of local flair. We caught up with the @home visual merchandise team to discuss the inspiration behind their fresh new look, and give you a backstage pass to see the action on set.

“The biggest trend in homeware is inspired by the idea of being at home and just what home means to us. There is no better way to feel at home than to be surrounded by beautiful local designs that we can feel proud of.

We are moving into a new era, one that looks inward and sees the value of what we have right here at home. The @home range of local products inspires us to think closer to home when it comes to great design and quality. Our team is constantly on the look out for great South African design and manufacturing that celebrates the spirit of home.

By sourcing local we are able to bring you the best in homegrown talent while supporting them in growing their potential.

Our customers deserve to see what our local talent has to offer and we believe wholeheartedly in the growth and development of local industries, and the best way to ensure that happens is to start supporting these industries right away. It makes us proud to see how much local talent there is out there and we are showing our customers that local doesn’t have to mean craft curios. Contemporary local design is world class and sophisticated.”
