LOCAL DESIGN WINNER
The winner of South Africa’s best local kitchen was found in Kwa Zulu Natal and designed by Amy Kidger and Michele Throssell Interiors. This design features timber cladding, sliding glass and steel shelves – a perfect blend of raw and refined materials incorporating Italian chic with homegrown soul.

We’d recently been on a trip to Italy to Milan and Venice and were so inspired by the kitchens we saw at Poliform and Valcucina, which was perfect for this home and lended itself to a kitchen that had the sleekness and modernity of a European kitchen, but also needed soul.’

IMPORTED DESIGN WINNER
The winner of South Africa’s top imported kitchen was designed by Sam Edmeades and Paul Raymer from Inside Living (Garden Route). Found in a luxurious holiday home in Plettenberg Bay, the kitchen has a distinct European style with timber finishes, pure white Caesarstone surfaces and shades of cement for a slight industrial feel.

‘I’ve been following this competition for a few years now and so just to be a finalist, let alone the winner of our category, is amazing. I’m so proud of Paul and I for what we have achieved with this design.’
