I took my camera along on my ritual Saturday morning visit to Espresso Lab Microroasters this week. After a restorative sip of the most delicious coffee in Cape Town, I took some snaps of this super-chic specialist coffee roastery in the Old Biscuit Mill.
It’s not called Espresso Lab for no reason: [...] The weather may be cooling right down with Wintertime upon us, but at a studio sale over the weekend, I spotted these porcelain vases by Lisa Firer. I’m sure you’ll agree that they are very essence of Springtime, and sure to bring fresh cheer to any wintery room. Over the weekend I made two visits to the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), leaving me footsore, inspired, and not quite sure where to start my post. Looking through my snaps afterwards, I managed to group some of what I saw into a few broad trends. It’s a good a way to approach this mammoth [...] On Friday I went to the BKLYN Designs show in DUMBO. This annual curated exhibition showcases contemporary furniture and home accessories, all of which is made or designed in Brooklyn. Over 45 exhibitors showed their wares over three days, giving visitors a pretty good idea that some exciting work is coming out of this city [...]  |
