Aesop is an Australian botanicals company with serious attitude. I originally came across their quirky black & white branded cosmetic bottles on a walk along Paddington’s Oxford Street. The store (designed by local architect Sean Godsell), has a really restrained, raw feel, unlike any other cosmetic interior I’ve seen. The Peanut Vendor is a store in Islingon that not only sells vintage furniture and other goodies, they expressly believe that the treasures they’ve found should be an affordable pleasure. Good news for the rest of us is that there’s an online version of The Peanut Vendor, where their vintage finds are [...] Um, excuse me? It’s actually a pic from the brand new Urban Outfitters fall catalogue, where you can get yourself a genuine, fresh- out-the-box macrame owl. It’s cute enough, I suppose, but I can’t help wondering just how many [...] Suck UK is a company selling a range of home and personal accessories that are generally a bit silly, certainly quirky, and always good for a chuckle.
