I finally get to make a home… newly married, and starting from scratch – literally. In fact, having recently moved to Southern Africa from Canada — the only “home decor” item I brought with me are these South Asian floor cushion covers made with beautiful deep-red velvet & banarsi cloth (woven with golden brocade and slight blue embroidery).

WHERE?
They would wed perfectly with the Moroccan bowl as a focal point in my new living room. It will be perfect, because I can build the whole space around the the vase and the bowl.

WHY AGAIN?
It’s worth noting, that my dream home would be a Moroccan riad for its gorgeous interior gardens adorned with and colourful tiles & plush floor cushions which I would love to adorn with a fusion of decor items from around the world [Absolutely love: Liz Bruce’s home, http://www.elledecor.com/celebrity-homes/articles/jewel-home-morocco

For now, I’ll live vicariously through these items… and use it as inspiration to paint the stand alone-column by my living room stairs with an arabesque stencil, in a rich Mediterranean blue hue and perhaps block print the same onto some DIY linen cushions.
