Looking for a weekend getaway that transports you from the hubbub of city life to a secluded hideaway situated between the expanse of the greenery in the Bot River valley? We’ve got the perfect place for you and your partner (or best friend!)
Recharge your mind and body and be inspired by the finest pleasures that nature has to offer.
The first cabin, Copia (Latin for abundance), opened in December 2016 and was constructed from two 12×2.5m recycled shipping containers on a farm just outside Bot River.
Just a quick 90 minute drive from Cape Town, you’ll find an intimate cabin (around 60 square meters) divided into three spaces; the open plan kitchen and living room, the bedroom and the bathroom that all include panoramic views of the pleasing surrounds. There is a gas hob, fridge & freezer with cutlery and crockery in the kitchen with a couch to comfortably recline in while savouring the warmth of the fireplace.
You’ll find it hard to pull yourself away from the outside deck, which includes a braai and a wood-fired hot tub that is preheated and ready for use as soon as you check in.
While you can bring your own eats along with you there are also a myriad of wine farms and restaurants in the surrounding areas as well as a small herb garden outside with farm fresh eggs and rusks in the pantry.
Copia Eco Cabins will be opening Lone Cabin soon to offer as accommodation alongside Copia so there will be room for more individuals to book a weekend away at this rustic retreat.
Be sure to book your stay for the upcoming holiday season at copiaecocabins.co.za or follow their social media platforms @copiaecocabins on Facebook and Instagram for more inspiration and information.
