ELLE fashion mag presents the Oriental Look…

Today we give you a mash-up fashion and decor for ELLE fashion mag‘s Get The Look. ‘This season, the Oriental influence is a blossoming trend on and off the runways. Oriental blooms, orchids, butterflies and soft prints on flowing and sheer fabrics seen at John Galliano, Carolina Herrera, Dries van Noten and South Africa’s Klûk CGDT get our vote’, says ELLE. We select a few decor items to match these fashion looks (above and below)…

ELLE’S FASHION TIP To get the look, think prints, watered-down florals, bright colours and artificial hues. Keep fabrics soft and flowing and prints subtle so you don’t look like you’re off to a fancy-dress party. To go all the way, opt for a kimono but make sure it’s cropped as it’s light for summer and more versatile than a long one. DECO TIP ELLE Decoration editor Laureen Rossouw says: ‘If you’re looking for a dramatic oriental effect for your wall, you can’t go wrong with Plascon’s Emerald Shimmer, one of my favourite colours.’
