A pink, jungle-like day bed by Parisian/Italian artist and designer Marc Ange stole the show at this year’s Milan Design Week at the Wallpaper* Handmade exhibition space in collaboration with The Invisible Collection and Green Gallery.
“Le Refuge is a place where one finds comfort and peace. It is the projection of a childhood memory. Its large leaves form a shelter under the sun, away from reality, just like those of the imaginary jungle that grows in the room of a child who seeks escape.”
– Marc Ange
The palm-canopied bed caused quite the Instagram frenzy, with onlookers snapping away to get their shot for social media. If you weren’t one of the lucky individuals who got to visit Milan Design Week in the flesh to snap your own Instagram photo just search the hashtags #marcange, #LeRefuge, and #WallpaperHandmade.
