As we approach the festive seasons and embrace the warmer temperatures, what better way to update your wardrobe or treat that special someone, than with some key pieces from Missibaba Luxury bags and accessories. Whether you’re after a cool, eclectic clutch, bohemian shoulder bag, tempting totes or tantalizing textures, Missibaba has it all.

With the launch of its new store in Rosebank; Missibaba Trumpet Store, you can now purchase your favorite accessories, the perfect addition to your outfit, quick and easy. Missibaba has been on the hunt for the right location for a new store in Johannesburg, and was immediately drawn to the TRUMPET building. The space exudes a luxurious mix of distinct surface details and brightly coloured walls, the perfect venue for the well-refined brand. Designed by Pierre Swanepoel, the appealing strong lines of the TRUMPET design, in such proximity to surrounding galleries, make for an exciting new hot spot of art and design in the heart of Rosebank.

The unusual space originally built to be a storage unit, demanded a spurge of color and who better than color expert Freya Lincoln to craft a beautiful palette for the unique surfaces in the space. The retail space was translated into an eclectic explosion of colors, with gold vinyl panels, orange volume displayed wall, green accents standing out and Cabochon pink accents on the back wall, wrapping around a marvelously curved column. To compliment the furniture pieces, luscious green plants potted in gorgeous ceramics by Liebermans, add a contemporary urban jungle feel.

‘We felt inspired to play around with beautiful loose standing pieces and chose a vintage McIntosh Sideboard from Decade to adorn the jewel box corner and placed chrome standing lamps, a round chrome table with glass top and inviting chairs in the centre of the space for customer consultations. The chrome table and eclectic chairs sit on a delightful Hertex banana leaf rug, which celebrates their love for all things tropical and of course, Missibaba’s Queendom of Banana’

To celebrate the opening of their first stand-alone store at Keyes Art Mile TRUMPET, Missibaba created an array of beautiful half moon shaped fan clutches to honor the occasion. With art being the inspiration, the half moon silhouette served as a canvas for an assortment of beautiful quirky nature inspired elements of featuring bugs, birds, and reptile accents throughout the collection.
