Recycled advent calendar idea: Cardboard cluster

We’ve come up with another cheap and easy advent calendar idea for you to try out this Christmas. This time we’ve made use of recyclable cardboard packaging to create our advent calendar display unit, a quirky cluster of cardboard boxes. And the great thing about it? It also doubles up as a useful shelving system once the festive season has past. If you scavenge around your home or office, this shouldn’t cost you a cent.

DECO IDEA Collect any old packaging around home (or visit Merrypak, a DECO favourite!), and create a cluster by joining the boxes with double-sided type. Enforce the back with duct-tape for a little bit of extra strength. Number each box (digits available from Builders Warehouse or local hardware shop), and fill each box with cheap finds.
