We transform packaging into easy spring vases

We like a good idea. So in keeping with the spirit of easy spring and effortless style, we’ve created SUPER cheap vases out of food packaging. Check out these three recyclable containers…

What we used? Woolworths Fresh Green Pea and Smoked Ham Soup container. All we did was cut off the top (and eat the soup), rinse the packaging, and fill the container with water. DECO TIP We’ve kept the labeling on the packaging. It’s cheeky, bold and fun.

Woolworths Italian Tomato Puree glass bottles. Looks great in a cluster.

Pick n Pay Mild Dill Cocktail Gherkins glass container. Tiny, but perfect for even a single flower.

Don’t miss our second post for today. DECO contributor and colour expert Jenny Mason gives us her take on the recycled vase. Do you have any cool vase ideas? Send us your take on a cost-effective vase, and we’ll post it. See our latest Spring Issue of Elle Decoration for more vase ideas.
