Our guest blogger from Sydney, Elana Castle, brings us a pop of Aussie style today. Take it away, Elana! Dinosaur Designs seem to pop up just about everywhere. I’ve seen their distinctive products in an array of magazines, on design blogs and on the fingers, necks and wrists of many Sydneysiders. Turns out, (hardly surprising given [...] Designer Porky Hefer has just brought out a new collection of his beautiful lites, hand-turned from American Walnut. The lites’ design was inspired by Ray and Charles Eames’ wooden stools and also by wooden spinning tops, and Hefer says that the emphasis of these LED-lit shades is ‘the way the light falls on the shades [...] Browsing the hundreds of thousands of listings on the Etsy site always seems to raise a treasure, and this time it’s the rather lovely hand made stoneware by Etsy seller Kevin O’Shea.
