  • This is a comment not on South African design trends currently but on global design trends – the “Internet of Things”. As all technology does, this will reach our shores sooner than you think. The reality is that our countries service providers are slow to change systems that are essential for this interconnectedness of hardware to work in the background ‘making life happen’ for us so that we can get on with the important things. The “Internet of Things” is predicted to ‘predict’ human behaviour through self-learning but not for South Africa just yet if our Internet Protocols cannot facilitate this user experience.
