Architecture studios across Cape Town’s city centre are opening their doors to the public on the evenings of December 3 – 4 for Open Studios 2018.
Have you ever wanted to get into the head of an architect and understand the design process from concept to completed build? Open Studios 2018, now in it’s sixth year, is giving the public the opportunity to do just that.
From 5pm until 8pm on Monday and Tuesday next week, 13 of Cape Town’s top architectural studios will be open to the general public and will be offering curated displays of current and future work along with presentations, models and animations.
The two evenings are grouped according to location allowing visitors to walk between venues. Monday will focus on the CBD studios and will include the likes of dhk Architects, Fabian + Make, GAPP, Jenny Mills Architecture and Interior Design, Team Architects, VDMMA at the Architect, SSH Design and Wolff Architects.
Tuesday evenings studios are all situated in the East City precinct and the participating studios include DesignSpaceAfrica, Meyer & Associates Architects and Urban Designers, Peerutin Architects, SAOTA, ARCC, Tenebris Lab, OKHA and studioMAS.
