The farm is ideally situated for the cultivation of quality grapes. Since the late 17th century, Boschendal has followed small batch winemaking techniques. They consider their methods meticulous in sorting and their extended maturation periods are the prize winning combination.
The 1685 range is presented in a curvaceous bottle inspired by the traditional bottle design and commemorates the year of the original title deeds. With special focus on the purity of the fruit, modern winemaking techniques are used for depth, breadth and balance. The range includes: Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, Shiraz, Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay Pinot Noir and the recently released Shiraz and Mourvèdre blend.
These beautiful bottle-fermented bubblies liberate the vibrancy and energy of Boschendal. Crafted from classic varieties using the traditional method, vibrant fruit detail and natural freshness is retained. This range includes a Brut, Brut Rosé, Grande Cuvée Brut and the Jean Le Long (100% Chardonnay.)
