Boardmans, sponsor of our Solve New Talent Search, is really onto something. First it was their new ‘Welcome Home’ collection of local design put together by Trevyn McGowan of Source. Now they’ve opened an exclusive new concept store in Joburg’s Melrose Arch. The 450-square metre space brings local and international lifestyle brands to the South African market. Look out for exciting new products such as contemporary bedding from Australian brand Linen House and tableware from cookbook authors Jeremy and Jacqui Mansfield under their label ZhooZsh!, The Welcome Home collection will also be here, as will Reuben Riffel’s glassware in collaboration with Ngwenya Glass and a new range of signature bedding brought out by pop star Kylie Minogue.
The concept store also brings together top-of-the-range kitchenware by celebrity cooks such as Jenny Morris, Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay and the big international brands – Joseph and Joseph, Kenwood, Krups, Le Creuset, Moulinex and OXO. We’re told that limited-edition ranges and new releases from design centres such as Paris and Milan are on their way.
And this is just the beginning as other Boardmans exclusive concept stores will soon be opening around the country.
