Loving Patricia Urquiola’s hanging ‘Cocoon’ chair made from polymer thread, made for Moroso as part of her Tropicalia collection.

There’s something so distinctly South African about the way this chair looks, if you ask me, but can only find something vague about Urquiola being inspired by her Spanish heritage for this work. Still, the Moroso website’s front page has an image of African artisans making things, and the word l’Afrique, so I’m intrigued to find out more. If anyone has clues to share, I’d be most grateful.
