In the latest Winter Issue 96 we show you inside the home and guest house of Hunter Gatherer, Laurent Bayard.
Together with his six dogs, and his helpers Leola and Assam, Laurent runs the 1.5-hectare estate as a guesthouse, Couvaloup, with seven double bedrooms, each decorated in eclectic styles, ranging from retro, through classical to tribal.

Here the old-world glamour of Paris meets the verve of Ibiza; the gentle pace of the country finds its rhythm with the joyous colours of India and the patterns of Africa.

A collector par excellence, Laurent started treasuring and accumulating things from the young age of 17, and has continued to do so his entire life, wandering in and between the markets of France, England, India and everywhere in between. He confesses to having a slight obsession with beauty, and this is profoundly obvious in his home, his temple, and the place where this traveller has fostered a sense of belonging.
I’m not into flowers, I like jungly gardens.

The strong cultural overtones of the house are evidence of a man well travelled, well read, and well inspired. You should pay him a visit.
