In celebration of Earth day we decided to feature the idyllic and eco-friendly home of Graphic designer, Tino De la Carrerra. A desire to escape the hustle and bustle of city life in Madrid led him to the mountains of Segovia, Spain. Set in a dense Oak forest, the humble yet impeccably designed home is built almost entirely from wood. While fitted with solar panels and a generator to reduce energy consumption, the house also boasts large windows allowing natural light and the beauty of the surroundings to flood the interiors. An added bonus to the striking design were the low building costs, perfectly illustrating how eco-friendly need not be reserved for hippies and bead curtains.
