Whether it’s beach volleyball in Jamaica you’re after or dodging sea urchins in Croatia, don’t let this summer pass you by without packing a bag. In our #SummerIssue DECO asked South Africa’s most adventurous celebs where to go. We hopped on board with Stylish TV presenter Danine Naidoo to Berlin, Germany…

Danine and the commonly found Berlin graffiti.

Your stomach has to experience: As much currywurst as you can handle! It consists simply of bratwurst, or pork sausage’s, covered in a curry ketchup and you’ll find it everywhere. Also, the breakfast buffet at the Crowne Plaza is superb – take note, this is also a great, centrally located hotel too.

Don’t leave until: You’ve taken a graffiti class at YAAM, a great urban bar on the Spree river with live music and entertainment. It sums up the creative and arty element of the city so well.

When in doubt: Pack a light warm jacket (Berlin can have to seasons in one day) and head to Wasserwerk – for cocktails, catch-ups and dancing or just a fantastic meal this is the sexiest venue in town.

For a break on a budget: The Cradle of Humankind is not too far from Johannesburg and there are beautiful spots along the way. Go exploring to discover the limestone caves.

For a remote rendezvous: The Tintswalo Atlantic in Cape Town is the perfect place to get away from the city stress with their outdoor jacuzzi’s. It has just been redone after the devastating Cape Town fires and is looking beautiful.

For something different: I loved Argentina, the Gaucho ranches, hand-crafted leather products and overall cultural experience. For me, my next adventure will hopefully be to India – being part Indian, I have nudged it to the top of my list.
