One of the joys of urban living is coming across a sudden burst of colour and ideas brought to a nondescript wall by a grafitti artist. Some of them, like top SA street artist, Faith47, do more than just inject a bit of energy. Her exquisite work manages to bring a mood and sense of presence, turning a derelict site into a place somehow fragile and moving.

Faith47 was one of the speakers at last year’s Design Indaba Conference. See more of her work at her MySpace page, and read more about her at the Design Indaba website too.
