If you tried to conjure up the ultimate dream seaside summer holiday home in your mind, it might look a lot like House Corsica that was featured in DECO’s #Summerissue…
With the Mediterranean as a backdrop, this idyllic home in Corsica has a relaxed atmosphere with the design of the house centered around easy holiday living. The rocky hilltop location carefully chosen by Parisian owners Fred and Carol, as well as the design and construction closely overseen, much time and energy went into creating the ideal family holiday home.
We like mixing different styles and influences; a modern structure with authentic materials
Contemporary in design, the house was built with local materials featuring polished concrete floors, wood and stone walls. Overhanging, leveled terraces are surrounded by local rocks and maquis (a coastal Mediterranean vegetation and tree variety) With vintage hanging wicker chairs overlooking the ocean, and an outdoor bath made for two, the scene is set for a long, lazy summer of outdoor living.
It breaks our hearts every time we have to leave; It’s like the end of a holiday romance
