The Leon at CCXIX’s 12 IZITULO Design Challenge in conjunction with St Leger & Viney have announced their 13 finalists. 

“We are so impressed by the calibre of entries. We’ve had a tough time narrowing them down but we’re thrilled with our semi-finalists,” says Leon at CCXIX co-founder and designer Pim Verdoorn.

There were 140 entries from all around the country and the judging panel included esteemed figures in the field of décor and design.

The dynamic selection of finalists range from emerging students to designers whose designs are being made into 13 prototypes, thereafter the final 12 will be selected to exhibited at Leon at CCXIX’s showroom from Monday 11 August 2017. Members of the public and the industry will get a chance to vote for their favourite designs. Half of the entries will also be on show at this year’s Homemakers Expo at the CTICC from 31 August 2017.

The winner will receive a 12-month design contract with Leon at CCXIX, including a share of sales of their design/s plus a R10 000 fabric voucher from St Leger & Viney and will be announced on 28 September 2017.
