With Fathers Day knocking on the door, we’re looking at manly stuff: the kind of spaces that keep men in their element. First up, we asked ELLE DECO guest blooger, Cape Town designer Jaco Janse van Rensburg, to show us his work space.
“These are a few scenes from my studio. I love black and white. I find it easier to work in a neutral space. My desk is guarded by a print of Damian Hirst’s For the Love of God. I use moodboards for all my projects – I am doing some work for Shimansky at the moment so things are suitably sparkly in my room. The surfaces are covered in things I love and are always changing. The framed metal orchid was a gift from my wife and the mock croc bag from Zara can hold an A3 folder comfortably – perfect for presentations. The white dresser hides all my reference mags, so no clutter. This is where I can focus, think and do.”
