Our 2012 International Issue featured one of the beautiful places revamped by the fashion design team at Maison Martin Margiela. After having seen the launch of the collaboration range between H&M and Maison Martin Margiela, we thought we’d show you that this fashion label has much more to it than meets the eye. MMM don’t just dress people, but places too.

A rustic cabin set on stilts belies it avante-garde interior. This luxury bolthole has become the favourite retreat for celebrities and design enthusiasts alike following the revamp by Maison Martin Margiela.

Part of the luxurious Les Sources De Caudalie hotel and spa, the ‘Isle of Birds” cabin is located in the vineyards of Martillac, near Bourdeaux. The cabin was given a revamp by the MMM design team to mark the spa’s 10th anniversary.

The spa is famous for its unique vinotherapie treatment and counts names like Vanessa Paraids, Johnny Depp, Marion Cotillard, John Galliano and Isabelle Adjani as regulars – a tribute to its avant-garde ambience and soothing pastoral setting.
