Moritz Putzier's The Cooking Table | featured in Elle Decoration #Ideas101

In our current issue, #Ideas101, we take an in-depth look into Kitchen Culture, with cutting edge kitchen trends, local shopping and ideas that’ll make your kitchen cook. As the hard-working central hub of the home, the kitchen is the place where gastronomy, social activity and interior design combine.

The Cooking Table by German designer Moritz Putzier that features in the Kitchen Lab report really got DECO’s attention – this is the ultimate table for collaborative meal preparation as a multi-purpose solid oak wooden dining table that has movable gas burners integrated into the centre.

‘What if we take away all the fancy cooking tools and electrical equipment? What do we really need to create good food and dine all together with our friends and family?’

Moritz Putzier aimed for simplicity in his design and the creation of the the cooking experience as opposed to the food itself. His thinking was – ‘What if we take away all the fancy cooking tools and electrical equipment? What do we really need to create good food and dine all together with our friends and family?’

His answer? The Cooking Table. We couldn’t agree more.
