Ossimori is a Limited Edition collection designed by creative duo Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto of Milan based design agency Studiopepe, exploring the juxtaposition of different but complementary materials, objects and shapes.
The union and contraposition of two different yet complementary elements. Materials that lead to the exploration of the relationship between rediscovery and object.
This year, in addition to their long list of achievements, Studiopepe have turned their focus to interior and product design, including the Limited Edition collection Ossimori (Oxymorons) – a collection comprised of one of a kind pieces whose origin is a study of material. The juxtaposition of different but complementary materials, objects and shapes – such as fragile chalk and rock hard marble. Some of the objects are usable products, such as lights, while others are abstract sculptural pieces.
Objects conceived as artifacts retrieved from the future – Votives, sonorous, visual and tactile objects.
Since its founding in 2006, Studiopepe has wowed us with their approach to conceptualizing iconic photo shoots for brands, and DECO has often featured their work – our sister titles overseas as well as our own South African issue. Studiopepe since its beginnings has expanded into a team of architects, stylists and photographers whom Arianna and Chiara collaborate with, now covering Creative Consultancy, Retail Interior Design, Exhibition Installation and Trend Forecasting, and branching into Product and Interior design.
