French fabric company Pierre Frey has contributed textiles to a spectacular renovation project at the Musée du Louvre, including galleries dedicated to 18th-century decorative arts. Chief among the works on display is a faithful reproduction of a painted and embroidered silk from the Château d’Abondant in Northern France, more than 130 metres of which was used in the collection’s pièce de résistance: this salon decorated by French interior designer Jacques Garcia.
