On Friday, Jan from Poppytalk made a lovely inspirational post about stairs in her renovations blog The Townhouse, and I just had to share this glorious image she posted.

In the town of Wuppertal, Germany, artist Horst Glasker has made this work on the Holsteiner Stairs, called Scala. On each of the 112 stairs, Glasker has painted a colour, then stencilled a word describing the relationships between human beings, like terror + love, prosecution + trust, despair + hope, revenge + kiss. You can see more English translations of these words right here.
