Tying in with the Weylandts philosophy of good living, The Kitchen at Weylandts offers a selection of gorgeous breakfast and lunch options along with an array of treats for those with a sweet tooth. The furniture store’s stylish eatery concept is now open at Weylandts Durbanville, Greenpoint, Kramerville and Fourways stores, as well as at The Kitchen at Maison – the original, picturesque Franschhoek home of owner Chris Weylandt.

The menu is seasonal and is sometimes dependant on the chef’s ideas of the day, but the food is always characteristically simple, made from a curated range of quality ingredients.

A few examples of what you can expect are the sticky clementine-soy pulled pork sandwich, a 7-hour slowly braised pork shoulder which is pan-fried in a sticky clementine and soy glaze and topped with pickled onion petals, cashew nuts, crispy green coleslaw dressed in an Asian vinaigrette.

Mouth-wateringly delicious and at the top of DECO’s menu choice is the roasted beetroot, fennel and gorgonzola salad with roasted beetroot, parsnips and fennel accompanied with watercress, gorgonzola cheese, dukkah crostinis and a tangy crème fraîche dressing.

In most stores, the hours of operation for The Kitchen at Weylandts is MON-FRI 9am-4pm, but please note that the menu and opening hours differ between the kitchens, so do enquire in-store for further details.
