Tasteful and youthful, Mirador is eternally fresh with feminine colours and hypnotic prints. With an excellent eye for colour Lauren Cassar’s illustration style naturally lends itself to textiles. Soft but striking, they make for the perfect statement piece or accessory.

Mirador is the brainchild of Lauren Elise Cassar, a celebrated Australian illustrator and graphic designer. Along with her successful studio Silver Saloon she has of late ventured into the tactile world of textile design.

Inspired by its Spanish name, Mirador means vantage point. Lauren’s designs represent a view point to admire something grander than yourself – a fond memory of warmer months; a glimpse of the sublime.

The debut collection ‘An Inking’ consists of a variety of printed cotton voile scarves and sarongs that are effortlessly stylish. Hand-painted on large scale before being transferred to a silk screen each design has elements of abstract strokes of colour combined with marble texture and outlines that makes for intriguing designs with strong feminine suggestions.
