Madré’s Country Kitchen, Stanford
Madré’s Country Kitchen has been going for a couple of years but it remains one of Stanford’s foodie attractions. Owner Madré says she has an emotional relationship with food: ‘It speaks the language of seasons, comfort, nostalgia, heritage and health and wellbeing.’ A sense of wellbeing is exactly what you’ll experience as you sit on the stoep with its view of the Kleinrivier Mountains and a farm dam full of waterblommetjies.
