People in the village call it the ‘flower house’: French floral artist Claire Basler’s┬áhome, garden and studio in Les Ormes, outside Paris.

Claire’s enchanting home and atlier feature in Elle Decoration Spring Issue, now on shelf. The floral arrangements featured in virtually every room are arranged by the artist herself to provide daily inspiration for her famous large-scale floral paintings.

We were spoilt for choice. These unpublished images didn’t make the edit but we can’t stop admiring Claire’s extraordinary style, the layered look of the interior, the absence of any contrivance in her garden, the resolute architectural personality of the exterior. Read more about Claire, her work and the history of her home in our Spring Issue.
