It’s been a long, long time since I did one of my Trendjie posts, but after having spotted these beautiful mushroom photos from Knitalette’s Flickr photostream over the weekend, I thought it was time to highlight the Mushrooms trend.

You can find some of these mushroom prints for sale at the Knitalette Etsy shop.

There are mushroom textiles abounding, and one of my favourites is the Wild Mushrooms print from New House Textiles, available on aprons, trays, placemats and cuttingboards.

Ferm Living has gone mushroom mad too, with this Mushroom Soup tea towel , which they have as a wall decal and cushion…

… and on wallpaper too!

Just imagine a mushroom print-covered wall, lit by the gentle glow of the  Nesso table lamp from Artemide, poised on the Mushroom Family Stool .

And for the kids, there’s a mushroom-flavoured chalkboard wall decal, available from Wallnutz, and I love the Cargo mushroom boxes, available from Velocity.

Right, all that mushroom talk has worked up my appetite. I’m thinking… mushroom burger on, what other than a Mushroom plate, like this one by ceramics artist, Lisa Steven.
