Inspired by Grace Bonney’s Mini Trends on Design*Sponge , I’m going to do an occasional trendtjie feature here on the Deco blog. So whenever I notice a little trend rippling through the design world, I’ll put it together for you. Maybe you’ll be able to tip me off to trends you’ve noticed too?

First trendtjie – the little house:

A week or so ago at hopingforhappyaccidents, I saw these wooden houses made by Thomas Schutte.

They reminded me of the adorable little houses Lena Corwin’s been making lately…

…and checking them out, I realised Lena had been inspired by Kelly’s post about these house blocks!
Then, a bit of nosing around the Style-files found me these designs for Bookbinders Design by Swedish design duo Edhold Ullenius.

And I remembered Erika Wakerley makes a printed wallpaper called Houses…

…which made me recall that Australian designer Lara Cameron of Kirin & Co had made a fabric print she called Terraces.

And lastly, from Japan, the ever-adorable Shinzi Katoh have this little sweetheart.

Perhaps the little house isn’t quite a fully fledged trend, and this is just a bit of a round-up, but I think there’s enough here to call it a trendtjie at least!
