Elle Decor Tip - Tumble drying with balls

Happy House-Loving Hint No. 002 – Tumble drying with balls

Q: Do you want to cut down on tumble drying and get your laundry coming out of the drier smoother and less creased (and cut down on ironing)?

A: Put two or three tennis balls in your tumble dryer. They soften the fabric, and can reduce drying time by about 25%. Because the balls fluff out creases, they also make ironing easier.  This works well when tumble drying feather pillows or quilted fabrics. The impact of the balls stops the feathers matting and clumping.
