Come visit the Elle Decoration stand at Decorex Joburg (stand number B8) this weekend, where we’ve teamed up with Click.Buy.Fly – Airport Shopping to extend our ‘around the world’ wall feature story (see page 86) into a real-life display.

Get there fast because we’re selling a limited number of copies of the latest issue – our first international one! We’re also selling the cute Ndebele doll that travelled around the world in our various international room settings and which  featured in our promotion for Click.Buy.Fly – Airport Shopping.

We’re inviting visitors to our stand to tell us where in the world they’ve been by pinning the places they’ve visited on our giant world map. We’ll be taking pictures and posting them on our blog! And that’s not all we’re doing. Look out for an exciting competition coming soon on our blog…

There’s a ton of stuff to look out for at Decorex, which has five halls brimming with hot new home designs and products. We’re really keen to check out the new Decorex Designer Collection, featuring the work of nine of our most talented artisans and design studios: Anthony Shapiro, Homebakes Ceramics, Lisa Firer, Wonki Ware, Goet, Design Team, Skinny laMinx, the Laid-Back Co and Ngwenya Glass. The range is all made with summer entertaining in mind, and features pared down simplicity and a colour palette of grey, naturals, turquoise and indigo.

Look out, too, for the two ‘New Look Africa’ room installations; the Garden Theatre, where you can learn to grow your own edible garden; the DStv Theatre of Ideas, where speakers include über-party planner Otto de Jager; the Nicholas de Klerk-designed BOS Bar; and Plascon’s stand showcasing its 2012 Colour Forecast designed by Laurence Brick, together with Tonic Design, A Poin+ and Goet; and the wholesome Plascon Palate Café featuring furniture by Peter JA Stuart.

Decorex Joburg takes place at the Gallager Convention Centre from 5 – 9 August,
9 am to 5 pm. Elle Decoration can be found at stand B8.
