Zara Home’s Autumn/Winter ’18 campaign entitled ‘Inside Villa Borsani’ celebrates Osvaldo Borsani, the legendary Italian Modernist architect and cofounder of furniture brand Tecno, and the home he built on the outskirts of Milan.
Villa Borsani, Osvaldo Borsani’s innovative architectural and decor masterpiece, was completed in 1945. The details of the home meticulously planned from the windows right down to the curtains. Borsani also collaborated with friends who were also some of the most creative minds of the time including Lucio Fontana, Adriano Spilimbergo, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Gio Ponti, Roberto Crippa and Fausto Melotti.
The family home which sat empty for a decade was recently opened to the public during this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan and ahead of a Borsani retrospective at the Triennale di Milano in May. Now, Zara Home reimagines the wonderful world of Borsani for today’s home, an “ode to sophistication, good taste and love for haute décor.”
We hope to see this Zara Home collection hit our shores soon.
